My Background
I am a classically trained pianist with 40 years of experience teaching and performing in the US, Europe, and Latin America. I have performance degrees from the University of Miami, the Manhattan School of Music, and the National Conservatory of Music of Santo Domingo. My tailored performance lessons are supported by a strong learning of the Fundamentals in technique, theory and repertoire from beginner to advanced and professional level. I have an active role in the music scene of the city as the president of the Las Vegas Music Teachers Association, the Chairperson for the National Guild of Piano Teachers and a piano faculty at the Nevada School of the Arts.
Sharing my Passion
I am a firm believer in the power of music to transform people's lives, and every child should have the opportunity to explore music and arts in their formative years. Teaching music is my passion. That's why I became a teacher to share my knowledge, and love for music. Whether you are just a beginner or an advanced student, wanting to learn how to teach, or a teacher needing to expand your technique and repertoire, I can help you by giving you the tools you need to explore and develop your talents and aspirations.
My Classes
My teaching philosophy is to focus on the child's or person's development and sense of self. I offer private lessons in piano, pedagogy, theory, and composition in my own studio. I also travel all over the world giving masterclasses, concerts and lectures. If you are interested in taking piano lessons from me, I offer tryouts and auditions throughout the year by appointment only.
